Bio History
I was born in 1982 in Beverwijk, the Netherlands.
I started out my school career on a Montessori elementary school and after that I went to MAVO high school. In 1998 I started at the Grafisch Lyceum (graphic designer school) but quit after two years due to lack of freedom of creativity.
Then I worked in a photo store from 2000 till 2006 where I fixed cameras and projectors. After 6 years I decided to combine the mechanical fascination with creativity and moved to The Hague to start studying ArtScience / Image and Sound at the Royal academy and the Royal Conservatory.
Since 2006 I am building mostly mechanical installations but I also make abstract film, write articles and do production work for art festivals.

Interests and fascinations
The installations accrue from a fascination for mechanics that, in conventional machines, are mostly hidden. To show the beauty of the mechanics and the clear causality are the drive to create works with gears and axes and levers. Working on abstract film with analog means is also a fascination.

Future
I am working on a new installation and a new film of witch I will post some information on this website. In my research I will put more focus on the compositions that can be made with mechanics and in abstract film.
